Why We Started
Too many coffee tools were becoming unnecessarily complicated. Features were added for the sake of it, while everyday usability was often overlooked.
Laybird was created to change that.
Our goal was simple: develop coffee tools that combine intelligent design, premium materials and modern technology, without making brewing feel intimidating. Every product is built to be intuitive, reliable and enjoyable to use, whether you're making your first pour-over or dialling in an espresso.

Laybird in Australia
More than a partnership.
Laybird's story in Australia began long before the brand itself.
Gary Lin, who co-founded Laybird alongside Vincent Chow, spent several years living and studying in Australia. During that time, Gary and Coffee Parts Director Pedro Lara crossed paths through the local coffee community. While they never formally worked together, they shared the same passion for specialty coffee and quality equipment.
Years later, after Gary and Vincent founded Laybird, those early connections naturally evolved into a partnership.
Vincent, an SCA-certified barista, brings a deep understanding of workflow, ergonomics and real-world brewing performance. Gary's background in product development and brand marketing ensures every detail has purpose—from the way a product feels in your hand to how it fits into your coffee routine.
That philosophy immediately resonated with Pedro.
For Coffee Parts, great products aren't chosen simply because they're new or different. They need to solve genuine problems, deliver outstanding quality and offer an experience that stands behind the brand. Laybird embodies those values.
Today, Gary and Pedro continue to share ideas, product feedback and a genuine friendship. Bringing Laybird to Australia is something they're both passionate about—not only because Australia played an important part in Gary's journey, but because Australian coffee enthusiasts appreciate thoughtful design and uncompromising quality.
